WHAT IS D-NOW WEEKEND?

D-Now is a weekend long, discipleship-focused event with students from across the West Georgia area from March 7-8. We’ll gather together on Friday night and Saturday at Roopville Road Baptist Church to worship, focus around the cross and resurrection, and assess where we are in our walk with Christ. We have time for fun tournaments with dodgeball, basketball, and an array of games (like nine square, spikeball, etc.). Students will be broken into small groups within our group from FBC based on MS/HS and gender, and they’ll be assigned a leader or two for their small group! Those groups will spend the night at a host homes house who will provide breakfast Saturday morning. I’ll attach a schedule below for what the weekend looks like and some pics from years past!

Students will be placed into small groups at FBC. These small groups will spend the night at different host homes and gather back together with the large group at Roopville Road Baptist Church throughout the weekend. On Saturday night, students will go back to their host homes to spend the night and come to FBC Sunday morning for a pancake breakfast and Sunday morning worship!

Three large group sessions, three focused small group times, breakouts around Scripture and our faith, and time to hangout, have fun and play. We stoked for another year of growing with local Christian teens and being mobilized to live missionally!

WHAT TO BRING?

Student Packing List:

  • Bible & Pen (a notebook is given at the event)

  • Clothes

    • Friday Night

    • Saturday (Outdoor/Indoor Recreation)

    • Sunday Church (Clothes can be casual; we'll wear D Now shirts Sunday)

  • Sleeping Bag & Pillow

  • Personal Items (Deodorant, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Soap/Shampoo, etc.)

  • Towel & Washcloth

OUR CAUSE IS BIBLE TRANSLATION. We'll take up an offering each session to help support the work of Bible Translation for languages throughout the world that don't have a written Scripture in their language. Help end the problem of Bible poverty by giving toward this cause and teach your students to give to the work of the gospel!
