COST: $150

We're traveling to Talladega, AL to stay at Shocco Springs Baptist Retreat Center. Shocco Springs is a fun retreat center with a ton to do outdoors (gaga ball, flag football, rock climbing, hiking, etc.) and gyms to play indoors as well. We’ll have time to fellowship and enjoy hanging together, but most importantly, we'll focus our hearts on Christ through 4 sessions and time in small groups. Be a part of a great weekend, and invite a friend to tag along!

WHAT TO BRING?

  • Bible, Pen, Notebook/Journal

  • Lunch/Spending Money for the ride home (we’ll stop by Bucee’s on the way home) $20-30 should be plenty - they also have a gift shop at Shocco

  • Towel & washcloth

  • 1 roll of toilet paper per student (the worst thing to run out of is TP, so this helps us bring extra)

  • At least one change of clothes each day (One suitcase allowed for each person)

WHAT NOT TO BRING?

  • Video Games (Switches, Play Stations, Xbox’s) – don’t waste time by being distracted on a screen

  • Bad attitudes – it’s going to be a fun time to get away and be together. Have a good spirit about it!

  • Anything you know you shouldn’t – vapes, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, weapons… this obviously goes without saying and has never been a problem, but it never hurts to mention it

WHAT NOT TO BRING?

  • We'll have sessions focused in Scripture over the course of the weekend.

  • We'll have small groups and be challenged to see how the Gospel applies to our culture and our lives

  • We'll have time to hang out and play games in order to grow intentional relationships and community

  • We'll arrive back at the church on Sunday between 1:30-2:00 PM. (We’ll have students text an ETA when we leave that morning!)
